Mathematician of the Month
Celebrating the great mathematicians of the past and present
MOTW - John Wilson
“... no man of the profession is held in superior estimation, either on account of his professional abilities, amiableness of manners, or benevolence of heart.”
MOTW - Johann Bernoulli
Sorry Sheldon, not the Bernoulli effect guy, that will be his son Daniel :)
MOTW - Paulette Libermann
Tiny, energetic, smiling, chatty, sometimes caustic, she was also a memory of the mathematical community. She liked to speak of those who helped her, either personally or professionally: Cartan's family, Jacqueline Ferrand, Ehresmann, anonymous others ... and she also liked to speak of those who did not help her.
