I retired in May of 2021 after 25 years of classroom teaching in private schools. I taught Pre-algebra up to Calculus over that time, mostly the high school classes. My "retirement" plan was to do private tutoring. Over the last 2 years, I have tutored kids ranging from 5th grade to college sophomores.

In my teaching career it was always more important to me for a student to have understanding rather than just be able to regurgitate facts or rote memorized processes. I stress with my students to be able to explain their thinking as well.

I have been married to Jeanette for 40 years, with 4 children and 5 grandchildren to show for it!
