MOTW - John Venn
Mathematician of the Day is John Venn.
John Venn, who died on yesterday's date in 1923, was an English mathematician and logician best known for (as every Geometry student knows) the Venn diagrams, which can be used to visualize the unions and intersections of sets.
Venn extended Boole's (yeah, that one!) mathematical logic and is best known to mathematicians and logicians for his diagrammatic way of representing sets, and their unions and intersections.
